4 pigeons basketted. Result : a 3rd and 9th prov.
First arrival at 21.02 was Obelix (348/09). Last year he arrived first from Pau as well, then a 24th prov. He was kept home for the rest of the season because he got injured after a smash into a window. Now he opens with a brilliant 3rd place. Obelix is a son to Blauwe Harrie ( = direct son Gimondi, Wijnands) and to Ada, daughter Gorbi (Gorbi = 1st prov Perpignan and a grandson to Gimondi).
Second pigeon at 21.28 was Pipo II (140/10). He ended last season with a 9th prov Perpignan. He's a son to Pipo ( = brother to Poetin, 2nd prov Pau 2005) and to Isha ( = daughter Ella)

A full brother to Maike, from the loft of Albert Willems (Eisden), came to Hasselt. Maike = 1st prov, 2nd nat Pau 2012, 2nd prov Pau 2011, 1st prov St Vincent 2008. Maico will go to the breeding loft.

Reinforcements came from the loft of the great long distance player and Barcelona specialist, Berke Willems (Eisden). It concerns two direct sons of De Bijter. De Bijter is 5th national ace-pigeon Barcelona 2009-2011

Death of Ella. She's Dam to Gorbi (1st prov Perpignan and 11/11 +800km-races), Dam to Portier ( twice 11th prov Perpignan etc), Dam to Orpheus (9th prov St Vincent, 10th prov Pau etc), Obama ( 7th prov St. Vincent), granddam to Pipo II ( 9th prov Perpignan, 9th prov Pau etc.) ... Ella was a direct daughter of the famous Gimondi (Harry and Roger Wijnands, Maastricht).
